The World Pipe Band Championships 2010 were once again held on Glasgow Green. The largest ever entry with over 8,000 pipers, drummers and drum major putting in over 300 performances between them on the day all looking to be crowned World Championships in their respective grades.

The World Pipe Band Championships is a pipe band competition currently held in Glasgow every August since 1930. The coveted title of World Pipe Band Champion is seen as the culmination of a year's worth of preparation, rehearsal and practice. It all boils down to one final day of action in August on Glasgow Green.

DE Photo is proud to be involved with this prestigious event which we have attended annually since 2007. Each year we have a fantastic response from participants on the quality of imagery whilst we also remain unobtrusive in the action rings where the BBC sends out live television footage of the event around the world.
